Royal Naval Reserve Experience - Northwood

Want to keep fit, make new friends and gain new skills in your spare time? Get a taste of life as a Royal Navy Reservist at our free Royal Naval Reserve Experience on 20/11/2019.

Spaces are limited, so make sure you register your interest in plenty of time.

As well as learning about the different branches and specialisms of the Royal Naval Reserve, you’ll get the chance to:

• Meet serving Reservists

• Enjoy a sea survival Stance (dress in survival suit)

• Handle an operational weapon (introduction to SA80)

• Take part in a leadership ice breaker

• Learn more about the Royal Naval Reserve during a presentation on Commitment and Rewards of joining

There will be the opportunity to mingle with serving reservists and get your questions answered.

What you’ll need

You will need to report to the main gate no later than 7pm in order to gain access to the event which starts at 7.30pm.

Must bring government issued photographic ID (Driving Licence / Passport) in order to attend.

Attendees will be issued a site pass and must be escorted (on site) at all times.

Please note, Student ID will not be accepted.

Parents welcome, must be pre-booked.

Closest London Underground Northwood, not Northwood Hills.

About the Royal Naval Reserve

The Royal Naval Reserve is the volunteer force of the Royal Navy. With a basic commitment of 24 days a year, you’ll take part in training exercises, defence drills and adventure activities, often overseas. You could even be mobilised for an operational tour of duty.

You'll develop skills that will benefit your career, experience adventures you couldn't have anywhere else, and serve your community – all alongside your day job.
