Merchant Navy Liaison Scheme
The aim of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines /
Merchant Navy Liaison Voyage Scheme (MNLV) is to foster good relations
between the RN and MN, by providing RN and RM officers with experience
of Merchant Navy operations (and vice versa) and encouraging Merchant
Navy liaison in defence matters.

QHM PlymouthThe Dockyard Port of Plymouth is under the statutory
control of the Queen's Harbour Master (QHM), Plymouth. The majority of
the traffic in the port is either military or military support; the
port serves the biggest Naval Base in Western Europe, with base ported
vessels including nuclear submarines and large warships, and a large
number of visiting ships receiving Operational Sea Training.

QHM Portsmouth
The Queen’s Harbour Master (QHM) Portsmouth is the
regulatory authority of the Dockyard Port of Portsmouth, an area of
approximately 50 square miles that encompasses Portsmouth Harbour and
the Eastern Solent.

QHM Clyde and Scottish Naval Exercise Area Information
The purpose of this web site is to provide
information about Naval Activity in Scottish coastal waters to other
mariners. The site is divided into 3 main sections dealing with the QHM
Clyde, the Scottish Exercise Areas (SXAs) and activity at the Cape
Wrath Firing Range. QHM and his organisation exist in order to ensure
safe and orderly passage for all those using the Dockyard Port
(Gareloch & Loch Long), predominantly Naval Vessels.
